Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, prepare, and cook meals to meet the dietary needs of our residents
  • Ensure the kitchen is clean and well-maintained, adhering to strict food hygiene standards
  • Manage food stock, equipment, and supplies, ensuring efficient use and minimizing waste
  • Monitor and maintain accurate records of food preparation, storage, and disposal
  • Collaborate with the Catering Supervisor to ensure smooth kitchen operations and resolve any issues that may arise
Requirements
  • NVQ Level 2 in catering or relevant experience
  • 2 years of experience in hands-on cooking, with a focus on volume cooking and menu planning
  • Experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment, with a strong emphasis on teamwork and communication
  • Ability to follow recipes, maintain high standards of presentation, and adapt to changing menu requirements
