Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant Anaesthetist to join our Anaesthetic Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality anaesthetic services to patients undergoing a wide range of surgical procedures.

Main Duties

The Consultant Anaesthetist will be expected to work closely with the existing team of consultant staff to provide a comprehensive Anaesthetics Service. This will involve participating in the provision of anaesthetic services for elective and emergency vascular cases, as well as other surgical specialties.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have considerable experience in anaesthesia and will be able to demonstrate a high level of clinical expertise. They will also be expected to participate in the training and development of junior doctors and other staff within the department.

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in anaesthesia and will be able to demonstrate the following skills and qualifications:

  • MBBS or equivalent
  • Evidence of completion of specialist training or equivalent
  • Experience of supervising undergraduates, junior doctors and other staff
