Job Summary

Spire Healthcare Ltd is seeking an experienced Oncology Pharmacist to join our team in a clinical leadership role. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our oncology services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management
    • Lead and manage the oncology pharmacy service, ensuring compliance with current legislation and professional standards.
    • Develop and implement strategies to improve patient outcomes and service delivery.
  • Clinical Expertise
    • Provide expert clinical advice and support to consultants, other clinicians, and patients on the safe and effective use of medicines.
    • Develop and maintain knowledge of new and emerging treatments, including chemotherapy and other oncology therapies.
  • Service Development
    • Contribute to the development of our oncology services, including the design and implementation of new treatment protocols and procedures.
    • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and effective communication.
  • Quality and Safety
    • Ensure the safe and effective management of medicines, including chemotherapy and other high-risk medications.
    • Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and outcomes.
Requirements
  • Qualifications and Experience
    • Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
    • Experience in oncology pharmacy, including clinical leadership and management roles.
  • Skills and Competencies
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
    • Strong leadership and management skills, with experience of leading and managing teams.
