Associate Director - Client Project Management

We're seeking an experienced and proactive Associate Director to join our team. You'll be responsible for leading Project Management Commissions, taking ownership of end-to-end service delivery, and ensuring client objectives are met. Your expertise will be invaluable in delivering projects to time, cost, and quality targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish project success criteria, including time, cost, technical, and performance parameters
  • Lead compliance for quality, safety, health, and environment issues on project commissions
  • Establish effective project governance, processes, and systems
  • Lead project planning, including producing detailed project plans
  • Advise on resource procurement
  • Lead cross-functional project teams
  • Monitor and apply performance management techniques
  • Lead project finances
  • Lead Contract Administration processes, claims resolution, and disputes
  • Manage project information flow between teams and clients
  • Prepare project progress reports

Marketing and Business Development:

  • Identify opportunities for new business with existing clients
  • Lead bid documentation production
  • Ensure project case studies, photographs, and project CV files are up-to-date
  • Identify ways to improve project management products and services

Internal Management Accountabilities:

  • Knowledge management - ensure key information and learning are input into the Turner & Townsend internal database
  • Financial management - ensure prompt client invoicing and monitor project financial status
  • Process improvement - identify ways to improve internal systems and processes
  • Line management - mentor and develop line reports, conduct performance reviews, and identify skills gaps

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction, or related fields
  • At least 10 years of experience working on interior fit-out projects
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft products (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint, Project)
  • Good analytical skills, able to execute multiple projects simultaneously
  • Demonstrated experience of creative problem-solving and ability to push past barriers
  • Fluent in business English (additional regional languages a plus)
