Job Title: Director of People

Are you a seasoned Human Resources professional with a passion for HR casework and policy development? We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of People to join our dynamic People and Capability Team at HM Treasury.

About the Role

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading employee relations casework, providing expert advice and support to senior managers, and overseeing the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures. You will also be responsible for managing and supporting the workplace adjustments manager and project leading the introduction of a new casework management system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead employee relations casework, ensuring that managers are supported with accurate, timely, and robust advice.
  • Provide expert, up-to-date advice and support to Treasury senior managers on employee relation casework matters.
  • Oversee the development, implementation, evaluation, and communication of disciplinary and attendance management policies and procedures at HM Treasury.
  • Project lead the introduction of a new casework management system, exploring and procuring products to assist in the management of casework and ensuring accurate record keeping while delivering value for money.
  • Manage and support the workplace adjustments manager as appropriate.
Requirements

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced HR professional with a CIPD qualification (level 7) and a proven track record of leading HR casework, policy development, and implementation. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior managers and other stakeholders.
