Job Title: Fire Systems Service Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Systems Service Engineer to join our team at FAFS Fire & Security. As a Fire Systems Service Engineer, you will be responsible for servicing and maintaining fire detection and protection systems in and around Greater London.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out routine servicing and maintenance of fire detection and protection systems in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Identify and rectify any faults or issues with fire detection and protection systems.
  • Work closely with customers to ensure their fire safety needs are met.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and the Service Manager to enhance the company's reputation for quality and customer service.
  • Support the rota schedule as required to maintain a reliable and responsive out-of-hours service for customers.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Full understanding of BS5839 Part 1.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of fire alarm problems and their causes, including the ability to recommend changes to practices and processes that may cause false alarms.
  • Basic Electrical Safety training (ECA).
  • Manufacturers' training in all equipment required, including VESDA, Radio, and Fire Suppression systems.
  • Ability to operate business procedures within the framework of BN EN ISO 9001:2000.
  • Preferred knowledge and capabilities on working with Siemens and Gent analogue fire alarm systems.
