Service Engineer - London & Surrounding Regions

Griffin Fire & Security is a leading provider of fire detection, protection, and alarm systems in and around Greater London. We are seeking a highly skilled Service Engineer to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Service and maintain fire and associated systems in accordance with current regulations.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and the Service Manager to enhance our reputation for quality and customer service.
  • Perform routine servicing in a timely, efficient, and cost-effective manner, adhering to our quality standards.
  • Support the rota schedule as required to ensure a reliable and responsive out-of-hours service for our customers.
  • Communicate fire safety information to clients and their customers as necessary.
  • Plan and execute work, including routine service/maintenance visits, emergency call-outs, and remedial repairs, in line with service administration guidance.
  • Manage and secure equipment stock efficiently and economically, determining stock levels in relation to work activities and ordering stock items as needed.
  • Operate in accordance with our client's requirements, company quality standards, and health and safety regulations.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of fire alarm problems, including the ability to recommend changes to practices and processes that may cause false alarms, as well as modifications to fire detection and alarm systems.
  • Hold basic electrical safety training (ECA) and manufacturers' training in all required equipment.
  • Possess preferred knowledge and capabilities in working with Siemens and Gent analogue fire alarm systems.
  • Utilize a fully equipped company vehicle.
