Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a SEN Teaching Assistant. In this role, you will provide support to a child with additional needs on a 1:1 basis, working closely with the class teacher to ensure the child's learning needs are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work alongside the class teacher to support children with their learning
  • Manage the behaviour of pupils whilst they undertake their work, ensuring a constructive and positive environment is maintained
  • De-escalate situations within the classroom, adhering to safeguarding procedures
  • Carry out small group work and work with children with additional needs
  • Report any safeguarding concerns using the school's referral procedures and safeguarding policies

  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • A passion for making a difference to the lives of children
