Peer Support Coach

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Peer Support Coach to join our team at The Big Life Group. As a Peer Support Coach, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals experiencing common mental health conditions. Using your own life experience of mental distress and recovery, you will provide guidance and support to help individuals achieve their recovery goals.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Peer Support Coach, your key responsibilities will include:
- Delivering peer coaching one-to-one and group interventions to support individuals in their recovery journey.
- Supporting events within the community to promote the service and engage with local stakeholders.
- Working collaboratively with other members of the service to deliver holistic support.
- Assisting participants to access a range of services and community activities to support their mental wellbeing.
- Collating and analysing performance data to inform service development.
- Developing effective relationships with external organisations and agencies to improve service delivery.
- Keeping accurate and up-to-date records of participants' progress.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A high level of self-awareness and the ability to reflect on your own practice.
- Experience of working with individuals and groups in different settings to achieve their goals.
- Knowledge of mental health issues and conditions, and the challenges and issues that affect those who experience such difficulties.
- Understanding of Peer Support and Personal Recovery approaches.
- A positive and proactive approach to working with individuals and communities.
