Job Title: Energy Storage Systems Engineer

Future Energy Overview: GHD is a global network of purpose-driven professionals helping clients and communities navigate the energy transition. We are seeking highly skilled BESS Engineers to join our international team shaping a sustainable energy future.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with our Australian business to ensure seamless project execution under our global service delivery model.
  • Lead and inspire teams delivering high-impact projects, fostering excellence in BESS design and engineering.
  • Provide advanced technical input to address BESS challenges and opportunities, developing and implementing solutions from conceptual stage through to detailed engineering.
  • Lead key equipment vendor selection processes, ensuring selected vendors meet project requirements and standards.
  • Conduct condition site inspections of energy storage assets during and at the completion of projects.
  • Oversee projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and key point of contact for technical expertise and project delivery.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, energy systems or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in BESS engineering at a Principal or Technical Director level.
  • Deep knowledge of battery technologies, energy management systems and power electronics.
  • Proven track record of leading complex projects, with a strong focus on technical excellence, client satisfaction and commercial success.
