Seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Specialist to join our team at a leading manufacturer in Birmingham. As a Mechanical Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing large industrial machines, including die-presses, vacuum/arc furnaces, and plasma welders. You will work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and repair industrial machinery, including hydraulics, gearboxes, and conveyors
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including lubrication and cleaning
  • Collaborate with the production team to identify and resolve equipment issues
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules to minimize downtime

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience as a mechanical maintenance engineer in a heavy industry environment
  • Level 3 qualification or equivalent, with a strong understanding of mechanical systems
  • Experience with hydraulics, gearboxes, conveyors, and cylinders
  • Ability to fabricate and weld
