Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and caring individual to join our team as a Transport Service Assistant.

In this role, you will be responsible for providing support to passengers with disabilities on accessible home-to-school transport services. Your duties will include ensuring the safety and comfort of all passengers, helping them board and alight the vehicle safely, monitoring their welfare during transit, and operating equipment to assist passengers and secure wheelchairs.

As a Transport Service Assistant, you will also be required to communicate effectively with passengers in a patient and informative manner, report incidents, and ensure the vehicle is secure. You will work closely with our drivers to deliver a high-quality service that meets the needs of our service users.

This is a term-time only position, with contracts starting at 15 hours per week, split shifts. You will be entitled to 5.6 weeks annual leave and will have access to our Employee Assurance Programme and pension scheme after three months' service.

Salary: £20,000 per annum (pro-rata).
