About the Role:

Barker Ross is seeking an experienced and dedicated Shaft Sinking Miner to join a leading company in the tunnelling industry. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of large-scale tunnelling projects across the UK, working on shaft sinking operations in a dynamic and safety-conscious environment.

  • Operate and maintain equipment specific to shaft sinking and tunnelling operations.
  • Work closely with the senior shaft sinking team and other tunnelling professionals to deliver projects on time and to specification.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring all procedures and policies are followed.
  • Perform inspections, repairs, and adjustments as necessary to ensure operational continuity.

Requirements:

  1. Proven experience in shaft sinking, particularly within the tunnelling industry.
  2. Strong knowledge of tunnelling equipment and safety regulations.
  3. Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and willingness to work shifts if required.
  4. Valid CSCS card and relevant tunnelling qualifications.
