Consultant Psychiatrist Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Kent and Medway NHS and Social Care Partnership Trust. As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will play a vital role in providing mental health and learning disability services to a diverse population of 1.8 million people in Kent and Medway.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality mental health services to patients, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment.
  • Lead and manage a team of healthcare professionals to deliver excellent patient care.
  • Develop and implement clinical policies and procedures to improve patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients.
  • Participate in clinical governance and quality improvement initiatives to ensure high standards of care.

Requirements:

  • MRCPsych or equivalent qualification.
  • Full registration with the GMC and inclusion on the Specialist Register.
  • Approved Clinician and S12 approval under the Mental Health Act.
  • Excellent clinical skills, knowledge, and experience in adult mental health.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
