**About the Role**


We are seeking a skilled Market Reporter to join our team at Argus Media, covering the European, Americas, Middle East, and Black Sea markets.


The ideal candidate will have a strong background in reporting, market analysis, and features writing, with a proven ability to develop and source industry-relevant news to deadline.


Key responsibilities will include monitoring and assessing markets to produce daily price assessments, market commentaries, news, and reports, as well as daily contact with traders, brokers, industrial groups, and other key market participants to build relationships and gather news.


**What You'll Do**



  • Monitor and assess markets to produce daily price assessments, market commentaries, news, and reports
  • Daily contact with traders, brokers, industrial groups, and other key market participants to build relationships and gather news
  • Contribute copy to relevant daily and periodical publications and the online news service
  • Attend meetings, conferences, and industry events to build contacts, report on news, and represent Argus Media externally

**Requirements**



  • A graduate with a strong degree and at least 2-3 years reporting experience
  • Proven ability to develop, source, and write industry-relevant news to deadline
  • Knowledge of coking coal is useful but not essential
  • Excellent written, grammatical, and numeracy skills, and ability to write engaging content
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to network and build contacts with industry executives
  • Prior experience of working in the financial or energy journalism sector is useful but not essential
  • Strong co-ordination and time management skills with the ability to work well within a team
  • Additional languages useful but not essential
