Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineering Lead to join our team at the UK Battery Industrialisation Centre. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving process development and improving manufacturing efficiency.

About the Role

The Manufacturing Engineering Lead will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing processes to improve manufacturing efficiency
  • Working closely with cross-functional teams to drive project delivery
  • Maintaining and improving existing equipment and facilities
  • Providing technical guidance and support to production teams
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience in manufacturing engineering or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of automation, mechanical, and controls systems
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Creo software
  • Experience working in a high-speed manufacturing environment
Desirable Qualifications

A degree in Mechanical/Chemical/Manufacturing Engineering is desired. Additionally, experience in battery manufacturing and proficiency in data acquisition equipment and PLC controls would be beneficial.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is estimated to be between £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits including pension scheme, life assurance, and 25 days annual leave.
