Senior Quantity Surveyor/Commercial Manager

Job Type: Permanent

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor/Commercial Manager to join our consultancy team at Anderselite. This role is crucial for the effective financial and commercial management of various projects within the rail sector. The ideal candidate will possess a degree in Quantity Surveying or an equivalent qualification and have a minimum of 5 years of relevant railway experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage and coordinate the financial and commercial aspects of rail projects
  2. Develop and implement cost plans, estimates, and post-contract management strategies
  3. Collaborate with project teams to ensure effective project delivery
  4. Provide expert advice on procurement, contract management, and risk assessment
  5. Manage and develop staff to achieve business objectives

Requirements:

  1. Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent
  2. Minimum of 5 years of relevant railway experience
  3. Strong IT and communication skills
  4. Ability to work independently and manage fluctuating workloads
  5. Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Professional qualification or working towards APC
  2. Member of RICS or equivalent recognized body

Software/Tools:

  1. Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Project)
  2. COINS (Construction Industry Solutions)
  3. NEC Contracts knowledge
