Key Responsibilities
  1. Cost Control and Management: Oversee and administer project costs throughout its lifecycle, ensuring alignment with project objectives.
  2. Quantity Surveying and Measurement: Prepare, review, and manage bills of quantities (BoQ) and other measurement documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  3. Contract Administration: Manage the contract administration process, including contract management, claims, and variations, in accordance with either NEC 4 or NEC 3.
  4. Tendering and Procurement: Lead the tendering and procurement process, including the preparation of tender documents, evaluation of bids, and contract award recommendations.
  5. Subcontractor Management: Collaborate with subcontractors to ensure their performance aligns with project objectives and quality standards.
  6. Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure effective risk management throughout the project lifecycle.
  7. Change Management: Process variations, change orders, and claims, maintaining detailed records and ensuring compliance with the chosen NEC contract.
  8. Quality Assurance and Control: Maintain quality standards by reviewing construction materials, methodologies, and workmanship, ensuring adherence to industry standards.
  9. Progress Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely project reports, including cost forecasts, cash flow analysis, and project progress updates, providing stakeholders with informed decision-making capabilities.
Qualifications and Experience
  1. A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
  2. Substantial experience in quantity surveying and cost management, with a focus on public realm contracts.
  3. Experience with NEC 4 contract management is preferred, but candidates with experience in NEC 3 will be considered.
  4. Proficiency in industry-standard software for quantity surveying and cost management.
