Site Manager Job Description

LJB Recruit is seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee retail fit-out projects in Derry/Londonderry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Carpentry/Shopfitting and a proven track record of managing day-to-day operations, ensuring quality and deadlines are met.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Project Coordination: Oversee all on-site activities from initiation to completion, ensuring quality and deadlines are met.
  2. Site Management: Monitor day-to-day activities on site, track project progress, and make adjustments as needed to ensure tasks are completed to specification and standards.
  3. Health, Safety, and Environment: Ensure all subcontractors and workers adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations, promoting a culture of safety on-site.
  4. Quality Control: Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure quality in workmanship and the project is being executed according to plans and specifications.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years' experience in a similar role with focus on the shopfitting sector and a strong carpentry background.
  • Proven experience in managing retail fit-out projects, ideally within fast-paced retail environments.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Immediate availability upon short notice.
