Job Overview

Veritas Education Recruitment is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Psychology Support Assistant to join our team. As a Psychology Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with additional needs in a variety of educational settings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide individualized support to students with additional needs, including those with special educational needs and mental health support.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, teaching assistants, and other support staff to develop and implement individualized support plans.
  • Assist with lesson planning and delivery, including adapting materials and resources to meet the needs of students with additional needs.
  • Support students with behavioral challenges, including de-escalation techniques and crisis management.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and support provided.

Requirements

  • Relevant qualifications in Psychology or a related field.
  • Experience working with students with additional needs, including those with special educational needs and mental health support.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced educational environment.
