About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced National Employability Tutor to join our team on a permanent basis. This role involves delivering training and assessment on various short course qualifications up to Level 2, as well as classroom-based employability courses to the unemployed.

Main Responsibilities
  • Safeguarding: Responsibility for safeguarding candidates whilst on programme, establishing and maintaining a safe environment for all staff and candidates.
  • Training Delivery: Deliver training and assessment on a variety of short course qualifications up to Level 2, including maths, English, and ICT.
  • Employability Courses: Deliver classroom-based employability courses to the unemployed, supporting learners in achieving their goals.
  • Learner Support: Provide feedback to learners continually on their programme, recording attendance records and tracking student progress in their place of learning.
  • Team Collaboration: Share best practice and resources in training, learning, and assessment, participating in standardisation meetings.
Requirements

We are looking for an individual with a full teaching qualification, an understanding of Safeguarding and Prevent, and ideally experience of delivering L2 Lean organisation management, Facilities, Cleaning, Employability, and Environmental.

  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both at a written and spoken level.
  • IT Literacy: IT literate and able to work across all levels, engaging with people accordingly.
  • Personal Organisation: Good personal organisation, time management, and administrative skills.
Work Environment

This role is classroom-based Monday to Friday 9am-5pm for learners, but may require working outside of these hours for marking, travel, etc. You will also be required to work away from home for up to three weeks at a time, staying in a hotel and travelling to different locations.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is £25,000 - £35,000 per annum (dependent on experience), plus benefits package including mileage allowance, hotel accommodation, evening meal allowance, and mobile phone bill reimbursement.
