Job Summary
The SAP Business ByDesign Project Manager will be responsible for delivering Sapphire's ByDesign project implementations in the UK and Ireland.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Provide guidance with process design and development.
- Manage day-to-day client interaction and expectations for multiple or large-scale projects.
- Anticipate client needs and propose alternative business solutions as required.
- Continually seek and capitalize upon opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships.
- Possess a knowledge base of each client's business, organization, and objectives.
- Maintain client engagement through regular meetings and status reports.
- Ensure that project deliverables conform to the quality standards being defined in the professional services quality management plan.
- Serve as a key participant and facilitator in team and client meetings.
- Maintain clear and up-to-date project documentation.
- Confront issues openly and in a timely manner.
- Effectively communicate relevant project information to superiors and peers in the business.
- Tactfully communicate sensitive information.
- Encourage creative and innovative thinking from the team members.
- Work across the organization to share lessons learned and best practice methods.
- Possess the expert knowledge to identify opportunities for change and the ability to convey the need for change.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Significant ERP implementation experience with ByDesign emphasis desirable.
- Experience managing technical, cross-functional professional services teams (e.g., consulting, implementation, development) and delivery partners.
- Experience in managing multiple projects of varying sizes.
- Ability to manage 2 to 6 projects at once, depending on project size.
- Ability to maintain a professional demeanor in times of high stress.
- Ability to work within a multi-cultural environment.
- Proven leadership skills with ability to engage, mobilize, and motivate multiple teams.
- Excellent English, verbal and written, communication required.
