We are seeking an experienced Environmental Sustainability Manager to join our team at Peel Recruitment and Solutions Ltd.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to reduce the environmental impact of our organisation, ensuring compliance with local and global regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute sustainability strategies to identify and address areas for improvement
- Prepare proposals, budgets, and reports on sustainability for review by senior management and stakeholders
- Develop and implement organisational policies and practices to promote sustainability
- Research and evaluate environmental sustainability issues and concerns, determining proposed actions for consideration by senior management
- Develop methodologies to assess the viability of sustainability initiatives
- Implement a programme to ensure compliance with environmental regulations
- Develop sustainability reports, presentations, and employee guidance to promote change and compliance
- Conduct risk assessments and provide guidance to departments and business units on sustainability considerations
- Monitor and report performance, including preparing regular reports for senior management and external stakeholders
The ideal candidate will have a degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related field, with substantial experience in sustainability-related roles, including formulating and developing new ES strategies, policies, and procedures. They will also have experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, building strong relationships to deliver shared business objectives.
They will be able to analyse and interpret complex data, prepare and present management information, and be held to account for performance and delivery of business objectives. They will also have strong stakeholder relationships and partnerships, including effectively managing relationships with external stakeholders, such as regulatory bodies and industry associations.
