Job DetailsThis SEMHA Teacher position offers a challenging and rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing tailored teaching strategies to meet the needs of these students, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters academic growth and social development.
Responsibilities and Requirements- Develop and implement differentiated teaching strategies to meet the needs of students with SEMH, ensuring each child receives the individual support they need.
- Create a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere where students feel safe, valued, and motivated to engage in learning.
- Build strong relationships with students, providing emotional support and helping them develop social and coping skills.
- Collaborate with colleagues and external agencies to create and implement effective support plans for students with SEMH.
- Monitor and assess student progress, maintaining detailed records and providing regular reports to parents and school leadership.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience working with students with SEMH, SEN, or additional learning needs is essential.
- Strong knowledge of SEMH strategies, interventions, and safeguarding procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach to teaching.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of approximately £35,000 per annum, along with access to ongoing professional development and training, a comprehensive induction program, and the opportunity to work in a supportive school environment.
