Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated SEN secondary school tutor to join their team in Towcester, Silverstone. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of young people with special educational needs.

Job Details:

  • Location: Towcester, Silverstone
  • Contract: Permanent, full-time
  • Salary: £32,123 per annum (dependent on relevant qualifications and experience) plus SEN allowance and additional benefits.

About the Role:

We are looking for a passionate educator who can deliver high-quality teaching and support to students with a range of Special Educational Needs. The ideal candidate will have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification, proven experience working with children and young people with Special Educational Needs, and strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering tailored lesson plans and resources to meet individual learning needs
  • Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters confidence, growth, and academic progress
  • Supporting the holistic development of students, encouraging independence and self-confidence
  • Collaborating with the wider teaching and support teams to ensure effective delivery of individual education plans (IEPs)
  • Regularly assessing and reporting on students' progress to parents, carers, and relevant stakeholders
  • Participating in ongoing professional development to maintain up-to-date SEN teaching strategies and practices

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Proven experience working with children and young people with Special Educational Needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents
  • Flexibility, patience, and resilience in meeting the varied needs of SEN students
  • A genuine passion for making a difference in the lives of young people with additional needs
  • Knowledge of SEN teaching techniques, including differentiated instruction and behavioural management strategies
