Education Support Professional

A reputable SEN secondary school located in the UK is seeking an experienced and dedicated Education Support Professional to join their permanent staff team. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to work within a supportive environment that values inclusivity and provides specialized education for students with special educational needs (SEN).
The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and other educational staff to support the learning, development, and well-being of students. Key responsibilities include providing in-class support for students with SEN, adapting approaches to suit individual learning styles and needs, and assisting in the planning and delivery of tailored learning activities.
Requirements:
- Experience in supporting young people with special educational needs (SEN), particularly in a secondary school setting.
- Relevant qualifications in education or child development, such as a Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- Patience, empathy, and a commitment to improving outcomes for students with SEN.
- A proactive, flexible approach to work, with the ability to adapt to the dynamic needs of the school environment.
- A good understanding of safeguarding procedures and the importance of promoting a safe environment for students.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team, as well as independently.
- Enhanced DBS clearance or a willingness to obtain one prior to employment.
