About the Role

Are you a skilled chef with excellent leadership abilities? We have an exciting opportunity for a Temporary Culinary Team Lead to join our team at Barchester Healthcare.

Main Responsibilities

We are looking for someone who can deliver exceptional culinary experiences without compromising on work-life balance. As a Temporary Culinary Team Lead, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Working closely with our Head Chef to create nutritious and delicious menus that cater to our residents' needs.
  • Leading and motivating a team of chefs to maintain high standards of food quality and presentation.
  • Ensuring seamless kitchen operations during peak periods, including regular audits and stock control.
  • Managing inventory and supplies effectively to minimize waste and optimize efficiency.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A passion for delivering exceptional customer service and a warm approach towards our residents.
  • Relevant qualifications, such as City & Guilds/NVQ/SVQ or equivalent, in culinary arts.
  • Proven experience in leading and inspiring teams, with a focus on motivation and development.
  • Strong understanding of nutrition and HACCP principles.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others to achieve common goals.
