About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Equipment Specialist to join our team at Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance for a wide range of medical equipment, ensuring optimal effectiveness, reliability, and safety.

Main Responsibilities
  • Perform technical duties, guided by procedures, involving autonomous work on general and complex medical equipment in clinical and workshop environments.
  • Commission, calibrate, deploy, and maintain complex medical devices, such as infusion devices, patient monitoring systems, and defibrillators.
  • Support the development and delivery of associated work programmes, promoting understanding of medical equipment concepts within the Trust.
Requirements
  • Essential qualifications: degree-level electronics or equivalent experience.
  • Working knowledge in electronic servicing and medical equipment servicing.
  • Proven knowledge of Medical Equipment Safety IEC 601.
  • Ability to work with technical manuals and schematic diagrams.
  • Ability to work within the confines of a quality system.
