Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to support children with social, emotional, and mental health difficulties within a classroom environment.

About the Role:

  • Provide one-to-one support to children aged 4-16 with social, emotional, and mental health difficulties.
  • Work closely with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized support plans.
  • Assist children in processing difficult emotions and behaviors.
  • Support the creation of a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with the teaching team to develop and implement strategies to promote positive behavior and academic achievement.

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding and knowledge of children's mental health.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and keeping children safe in education.
  • Patient and resilient with good skills in behavior management.
  • Ability to work effectively with children, teachers, and other support staff.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of the children and the school.
