We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Food Technology specialist to join our vibrant school community in Birmingham. This full-time position is ideal for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) who are passionate about delivering engaging and practical lessons to students.

As a Food Technology teacher, you will be responsible for teaching Food Technology at Key Stages 3 and 4. The role requires a strong focus on developing students' practical skills, creativity, and understanding of nutrition, food preparation, and safe practices in the kitchen. You should be able to differentiate lessons to cater for a diverse range of learners from those who need extra support to those who are highly gifted.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Food Technology teacher with experience teaching Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE)
  • Degree in Food Technology, Home Economics, or a related field
  • Experience teaching Food Technology at Key Stages 3 and 4 (desirable but not essential for ECTs)
