Advanced Child Protection Specialist

Join the State of Victoria in a challenging and rewarding role as an Advanced Child Protection Practitioner. In this position, you will work collaboratively with various services to support the wellbeing of children and young people, and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide advice, support, and consultation to practitioners within The Orange Door, as well as to Family Services, Specialist Family Violence Services, and Men's Services.
- Undertake investigations and develop plans to ensure the safety, stability, and development of children and young people.
- Work with unborn children and their families to support early intervention and prevention of child protection issues.
- Support the child protection program in the early identification and facilitation of appropriate referrals to The Orange Door and/or Integrated Family Services.
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel, including in country regions.
- Ability to work overnight and travel in evenings and early mornings.
- Understanding of Aboriginal culture and legislative, policy, and practice requirements relating to Aboriginal children, families, and communities.
