Deputy Nursery Manager Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Nursery Manager to join our team. As a key member of our nursery management team, you will play a vital role in providing inclusive play and learning opportunities for all children attending the nursery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in leading and implementing the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework and other legal/statutory frameworks.
  • Support the aims and objectives of the nursery, ensuring a safe, stimulating, and enjoyable environment for children and staff.
  • Manage staffing levels and support the Nursery Manager in maintaining a high-quality service.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant legislation, including EYFS, SEN, Safeguarding, and the Childcare Act 2006.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues, parents, and other stakeholders to ensure a collaborative and supportive team environment.

Requirements:

  • Recognised Level 3 Childcare qualification and demonstrable post-qualification experience of working with children.
  • Experience of implementing EYFS and knowledge of relevant legislation.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Good understanding of Safeguarding and child protection, including the Prevent Agenda and British Values.
