Early Years/Childcare Nursery Deputy Manager

Job Title: Deputy Manager for Early Years and Childcare
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Manager to join our team at Blue Octopus Recruitment Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing inclusive play and learning opportunities for all children attending the nursery and maintaining a safe, stimulating, and enjoyable environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in leading and implementing the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework and any other legal/statutory frameworks.
- Support the aims and objectives of the nursery and help manage the provision, including staffing levels.
- Maintain staff awareness of the statutory requirements of the EYFS to ensure a safe working environment for staff and children.
- Hold a recognised Level 3 Childcare qualification and have demonstrable post-qualification experience of working with children.
- Implement EYFS and have knowledge of legislation relevant to Early Years such as EYFS, SEN, Safeguarding, and the Childcare Act 2006.
Requirements:
- Able to communicate effectively at all levels.
- An effective leader who is able to work as part of a team.
- Good understanding of Safeguarding and child protection, including the Prevent Agenda and British Values.
- Knowledge of child development and children's needs.
- Understanding of the policies and procedures in relation to equality and inclusive practices.
