Job Title: Senior HR Business Partner

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior HR Business Partner to join our expanding Business Partnering team at the Education Authority NI.

Job Purpose:

The successful candidate will assist the Human Resources Manager in establishing and developing collaborative working relationships with senior managers to understand key performance issues and associated people requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead HR projects on a Team or EA-wide basis, providing HR expertise in improvement and change programmes with significant people impacts.
  • Work with the wider HR team and senior management to provide business-focused HR solutions to support the provision of high-quality, productive, and innovative services across the organisation.
  • Provide support and advice to both the wider HR team and managers on a range of HR areas, including employee terms and conditions, organisational change, and complex employment issues.
  • Develop resources and signpost senior management on practice, policy, and application which support the EA's strategic vision in the spirit of continuous improvement.
Essential Criteria:
  • Hold a bachelor's degree (QCF Level 6) or an equivalent or higher qualification and three years' experience of providing specialist advice and support to managers on a range of non-routine, complex HR issues.
  • Have five years' experience of providing specialist advice and support to managers on a range of non-routine, complex HR issues, including the management of change and employee/workforce projects in a large-scale organisation across multiple sites.
Desirable Criteria:
  • Demonstrable experience of leading on and directly supporting senior managers with significant change management projects and associated delivery.
  • Demonstrable experience of achieving successful outcomes in relation to strategic employee/workforce issues through best practice HR interventions and innovative problem-solving.
  • Demonstrable evidence of excellent communication and negotiation skills in relation to effective engagement and consultation with key stakeholders to deliver successful outcomes in relation to employee/workforce change management issues.
  • Knowledge of current employment legislation, including key areas of legislative change and its practical implications.
