Job Title: Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Flux Consulting have partnered with a leading construction consultancy based in Cambridge to deliver high-quality projects across a diverse range of sectors, including residential, commercial, and infrastructure.

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Quantity Surveyor to support the Senior Quantity Surveyors in managing the financial aspects of construction projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation of cost estimates, budgets, and tenders.
  • Support the measurement and valuation of works in progress.
  • Assist in the preparation and analysis of project cost reports.
  • Participate in the procurement process, including the preparation of contract documents.
  • Help manage subcontractor accounts, including payment applications and variations.
  • Assist with cost control and value engineering exercises.
  • Conduct site visits and assessments to ensure project progress aligns with plans.
  • Collaborate with project teams to provide financial and contractual advice.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation.
Requirements

A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field is required for this role.
