Are you a skilled Quantity Surveyor looking for a new challenge? We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Buildspace Group Careers.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our Life Science Division. As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing projects ranging from £5m to £45m in value. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Cost valuations with subcontractors
  • Negotiation with subcontractors
  • Procurement of all supply items and subcontractor packages
  • Preparation of interim valuations
  • Chairing site and client progress meetings
  • Managing interim payments to subcontractors
  • Regularly updating projected final accounts
  • Recruiting, mentoring, and leading junior Commercial staff
  • Regularly updating and managing cash flow forecasts
  • Preparation and agreement of all final account matters
  • Monthly cost/value reconciliation
  • Pricing of all contract variations
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Minimum 3 years Quantity Surveyor experience
