We are seeking an experienced Senior Heritage Consultant/Principal Consultant to join our team. This is a full-time position based out of one of our offices in various locations across the UK.

About the Role:

This role will involve engaging in a diverse range of project work, including customer liaison, relationship-building, negotiation, and care. You will produce desk-based assessments, Environmental Statement chapters, setting studies, WSIs, HIAs, quality assurance report checks, and contribute to networking and marketing efforts.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the Consultancy team in collaboration with the Head of Heritage Consultancy, scheduling, monitoring, and ensuring accountability for the Heritage team's work programs.
  • Negotiate with a wide range of clients and stakeholders, producing project reports and costings, and creating accurate, well-written, and persuasive documentation as needed.
  • Drive and use CAD or GIS to support desk-based assessments and Environmental Statement chapters.
  • Assist in developing the consultancy service for the company by generating clients, leads, and winning new work, as well as training other team members.
Requirements:
  • Educated to degree level or above (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience of working in an office environment and conducting oneself in a highly professional manner.
  • Motivating and supervising staff and dealing with clients, curators, and the public.
  • Team leadership, line management, goal-setting, holding staff to account, and getting results through others.
  • Documented experience of producing high-quality desk-based assessments, environmental statement chapters, setting studies, heritage statements, WSIs, and delivering consultancy services to clients including local authority and client negotiation.
