Job Summary:
The Customer Support Officer will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our clients and visitors, ensuring a safe and secure environment at our shopping centre. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and have a strong commitment to customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide visible security cover to the Centre, handling enquiries and customer concerns.
- Monitor CCTV and control contractors and deliveries to the Centre.
- Undertake regular patrols of the Centre as instructed by the Centre Manager.
- Carry out duties in accordance with instructions issued by Centre Manager.
- Comply fully with the Health & Safety Policy for the centre.
- Ensure that the requirements of the Fire regulations are strictly complied with.
- Ensure that the Rules & Regulations of the Centre are complied with at all times.
- Provide immediate assistance for any emergency call-outs and incidents.
- Record all incidents in the Incident Log.
- Ensure that contractors arriving on site adhere fully to the centre procedures for contractor management.
- Patrol the outside shopping centre, Car Park and service areas.
- Ensure that the centre is a safe and pleasant environment.
- Assist with enquiries from the public and liaise with tenants on a day-to-day basis.
- Assist with onsite events.
- Be aware of and abide by all rules, terms and conditions of the company.
- Hold a valid SIA Security Licence and where necessary a Public Space Surveillance Licence.
- Deal with first aid incidents, bodily fluid issues, and emergency situations.
- Carry out other reasonable management requests.
Requirements:
- Experience in the provision of security services in a busy environment visited by members of the public.
- Hold a valid SIA Security Licence and where necessary a Public Space Surveillance Licence.
- Ability to demonstrate good levels of customer service at all times.
- Good Communication skills as will be liaising with the general public on a day-to-day basis.
- Ability to work on own initiative and deal with demanding situations.
- Honest and reliable work ethic.
- Willingness to partake in on-site training for emergency procedures.
- Excellent organisational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Willingness to adopt a flexible approach to work patterns and work weekends/evenings as and when required.
- Willingness to undertake additional training and career development.
- Well presented.
- Ability to carry out physically demanding duties.
- Accurate record keeping with good attention to detail.
Desirable:
- Operational experience within a retailing environment.
- CCTV license (If 7-19 or 19-7 Essential).
- Ability to use full range of Microsoft applications inc. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
- Basic knowledge of H&S legislation.
Working Hours: 3 Days, 3 Nights, 3 Off
