About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned R&D Tax Manager to join a respected professional services firm in Lancashire. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for project managing the delivery of R&D claims for a range of clients, from SMEs to large corporations.
Key Responsibilities
- Project manage the delivery of R&D claims, ensuring timely and accurate submissions to HMRC.
- Provide expert guidance and support to clients on R&D compliance rules and regulations.
- Collaborate with clients and colleagues to develop and implement R&D technical reports and evidence.
- Work closely with clients and colleagues to identify and claim eligible costs for R&D tax relief.
- Utilize leading R&D claims software and work with admin support colleagues to ensure seamless delivery.
- Contribute to the preparation of corporation tax computations to maximize R&D tax relief.
- Engage with HMRC to resolve R&D claims checks and appeals.
- Contribute to business development and identify new opportunities for R&D tax services.
Requirements
- Strong educational background in tax or a related field.
- Proven experience in professional services, with a focus on R&D tax.
- In-depth knowledge of tax legislation and compliance.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong client relationship skills and ability to communicate complex tax concepts.
- Experience in corporation tax and R&D claims, with a willingness to learn and develop.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills, with the ability to present complex data in a clear and concise manner.
- Ability to travel to clients and other group practices on a regular basis.
