About the RoleAs a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance and longevity of the end-client's mechanical infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include:
- Performing routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on mechanical systems, including HVAC, pump systems, air compressors, water chillers, plumbing, boilers, and other related equipment.
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical issues, implementing effective solutions to minimize downtime.
- Conducting preventative maintenance tasks to ensure equipment reliability and longevity.
- Maintaining accurate records of all maintenance activities, including work orders, inspections, and repairs.
- Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Assisting in the procurement of necessary parts and supplies for maintenance tasks.
- Providing technical support and guidance to junior maintenance staff as needed.
- Responding promptly to emergency maintenance requests and providing timely resolutions.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Qualified to at least Level 3 City & Guilds in Mechanical Maintenance Engineering or Plumbing & Heating or equivalent.
- Proven experience in mechanical maintenance within the facilities management industry.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and boilers.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues.
- Familiarity with preventative maintenance practices and procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
