About the Role

Premier Recruitment Group Limited has a fantastic opportunity for a highly skilled Senior Payroll Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our payroll operations, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and accurate processing of payrolls.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Management: Import and manage CSV files in the payroll system, maintaining precision and attention to detail for reliable and accurate payroll processing.
  • Collaborative Work: Work closely with the Payroll Manager and Registrations Team to foster efficient processes and streamlined communication, supporting seamless payroll cycles.
  • Task Prioritisation: Effectively prioritise tasks, manage a busy inbox, and stay on top of payroll-related activities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Customer Support: Act as a knowledgeable point of contact for payroll inquiries, addressing questions directly or escalating to relevant team members as needed.
  • Problem Resolution: Resolve any payroll discrepancies and simplify complex payroll concepts for employees and clients, ensuring clear understanding of the process and entitlements.
  • Advanced Excel Skills: Apply strong Excel skills for data management and in-depth analysis, utilising tools like pivot tables, formulas, and other functions to support reporting and payroll accuracy.
  • End-to-End Payroll Process: Handle the end-to-end payroll process, from generating trials and journals to creating BACS payment schedules, processing weekly payrolls, handling additional payments, reviewing client billable expenses, and balancing all figures.

Requirements:

  • Payroll Expertise: Previous payroll experience is essential, with a solid understanding of end-to-end payroll processing and Merit Software.
  • Umbrella Company Knowledge: Familiarity with umbrella companies is beneficial but not required.
  • Transport Requirement: Due to the office location, access to your own transport is necessary.
