Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Planner to join our Planning and Scheduling Team at United Utilities. As a key member of our Maintenance Excellence programme, you will be responsible for planning and allocating maintenance activities across multiple sites, ensuring safe and cost-effective asset reliability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement maintenance job plans that meet safety and operational requirements
  • Collaborate with maintenance teams to deliver proactive maintenance and minimize downtime
  • Manage and maintain a library of maintenance job plans and procedures
  • Work with operations and maintenance teams to adapt maintenance plans and improve asset reliability
  • Participate in regular planning meetings to develop executable schedules
Requirements
  • Qualification in a relevant engineering discipline (HNC or NVQ level 3 or equivalent)
  • Significant experience in maintenance planning and scheduling, preferably in a water or similar industry
  • Excellent knowledge of plant operations, equipment, and Health and Safety processes
  • Strong planning and organizational skills, with ability to work logically and efficiently
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
