**Purpose**

The purpose of this role is to develop, maintain and optimise project schedules for the allocated programmes. This will require effective communication, engagement and collaboration with key stakeholders that have an input to a schedule’s development and execution.

The purpose for the role is also to support the business with reporting progress / performance data to ensure optimal delivery and to meet the contract requirements.

J**ob Role and Knowledge**

1. Development, maintenance and progress capture of detailed resource loaded project schedules as per the requirements of the contract and project.

2. Review and incorporate sub-contractor, 3rd party schedules and progress into the project schedules.

3. Development of lookaheads for the production department on a weekly basis.

4. Development of programme schedules to support other departments i.e. commissioning and tender activities.

5. Assistance in developing and implementing schedule progress measurement techniques including the associated schedule updates.

6. Preparation of accurate progress reports to support internal and external weekly / monthly reporting requirements. Including support to other departments i.e. development of commercial pack.

7. Development of weekly / monthly labour requirements to support internal / external reporting.

8. Attendance and participation at project progress meetings as required.

9. Assist in producing detailed schedule Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s).

10. Develop what-if scenarios and recovery plans in case of programme slippage and scope creep.

11. Undertake schedule impact analysis to demonstrate the impact of change on the programme.

12. Carry out duties in a constructive & cohesive manner ensuring accuracy of project schedule inputs/outputs.

13. Assist in development of planning and scheduling process workflows and procedures.

14. Develop & maintain strong internal / external customer relations in support of schedule development & execution.

15. Participate in Project Peer Reviews.

16. Other key planning tasks as required.

17. Ability to travel as and when required by the company.

**Education Skills and Experience**
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a construction / manufacturing environment.
- Excellent knowledge of planning techniques / methodologies and associated experience.
- HNC / HND qualification relevant to industry / role.
- Have the ability to interpret technical drawings.
- Knowledge & understanding of commercial activities and contracts management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and can liaise with people at all levels.
- Full UK driving licence.

**IT Skills**:

- Proficient in Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
- Proficient in MS Office / Excel.

**People Skills**:

- Ability to influence, mentorship skills, and relationship building skills.
- Good interpersonal, organisational, and communication skills.
- Good negotiating skills, working with customers (both internal and external) to meet project objectives.

**MUST BE ABLE TO GAIN UK SECURITY CLEARENCE.**

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £42,000.00-£47,000.00 per year
