Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled nursing leader to join our Neurosciences Management Team as a Head of Nursing Care. This exciting opportunity will provide a dynamic and experienced leader with the chance to deliver a high-quality, patient-centred nursing service that meets the diverse needs of our patients.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading, managing, and being accountable for delivering a high-quality, patient-centred nursing service. They will collaborate with Assistant Directors of Nursing, Clinical Directors, and Senior Managers to coordinate and deliver services in alignment with National and Trust Health Strategies.

The Head of Nursing Care will provide professional nursing advice and leadership for the development, implementation, and monitoring of Nursing and Quality Strategies to deliver exceptional patient care. They will drive the advancement and development of nursing services and practices, promoting continuous personal and professional growth in alignment with the Learning and Development team.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the delivery of a high-quality, patient-centred nursing service.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders to coordinate and deliver services in alignment with National and Trust Health Strategies.
  • Provide professional nursing advice and leadership for the development, implementation, and monitoring of Nursing and Quality Strategies.
  • Drive the advancement and development of nursing services and practices.
Requirements
  • NMC registration.
  • Significant experience at band 7 level.
  • Experience of working with patients who have neurological issues.
