Phototherapy Nurse Specialist Opportunity

Join our team at Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust as a Phototherapy Nurse Specialist, where you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care in our Dermatology department.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual with excellent organisational and communication skills to join our unique, friendly nurse-led Phototherapy team. As a Phototherapy Nurse Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting the administration of PUVA and UVB therapies safely, providing pre and post-treatment education, and recognising the responsibilities involved in the Phototherapy treatment process.

You will work closely with our Phototherapy nursing team across Salford, Bury, and Stockport, providing expert advice to medical and nursing Dermatology staff to ensure best practice standards are met. You will also be involved in departmental governance and service development, making clinical decisions and initiating investigations, care/treatment, and technological intervention within an agreed framework.

To be successful in this role, you will have a current NMC PIN to practice as a Registered Nurse or Midwife in the UK, or be currently enrolled on a course which means you expect to receive your full NMC PIN within the next 2-3 months. An NMC PRN PIN is not a full NMC PIN and would not fulfil the essential criteria for this role.
