About the Job

We are seeking a Senior Motor Control Engineer to join our Intelligent Motor Drivers (IMD) Business Line in Edinburgh. As part of our team, you will be responsible for developing and communicating the value proposition of our products to internal and external customers.

Your key responsibilities will include:

">
  • ">
  • Developing new product definitions throughout their lifecycle from concept definition to release to manufacturing.">
  • Conducting competitive analysis and deep understanding of customer applications and systems.">
  • Defining and articulating the value-add requirements of our products.">
  • Collaborating with design, test, and manufacturing teams to ensure products meet specifications.">
  • Builidng validation plans and owning their execution across multiple teams.">
  • Working with strategic marketing to promote products and create collateral.">

Required Skills and Qualifications

">

To be successful in this role, you will need:

">
  • ">
  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (Master's preferred).">
  • Deep understanding of motor control, including sensorless FOC for PMSM, IPMSM, or BLDC.">
  • Real-time basis coding skills for motor control using C, C++, or MATLAB/Simulink.">
  • Motor control simulation skills with MATLAB/Simulink.">
  • Core electronics fundamentals and deep understanding of power conversion.">
  • Customer-facing experience in a technical role.">
  • Strong lab and circuit debugging skills, with experience in defining demo systems a plus.">
  • Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally.">
  • Strong verbal and presentation skills, both in person and remotely.">
