The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards, while also promoting a culture of safety across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the health, safety, and wellbeing of all employees, contractors, and site visitors, ensuring a safe and compliant working environment.
- Promote and ensure adherence to company health, safety, and welfare policies, regularly reviewing and updating procedures as needed.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections, both internally and in partnership with third-party and client groups, tracking progress and implementing improvements where necessary.
- Actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, helping to enhance the company's overall HSE performance.
- Support the development, maintenance, and implementation of HSE management systems and procedures.
- Manage and maintain HSE records and databases, ensuring all relevant documentation is accurately prepared and updated.
- Participate in HSE activities, including risk identification, management, and in-house training sessions as required.
- Prepare and submit environmental reports in line with ISO 14001 standards, while leading the implementation of environmental policies and practices.
- Liaise with external bodies, such as local authorities and regulatory agencies, on matters related to environmental compliance.
- Take charge of pollution control, waste management, recycling, and conservation efforts, while promoting sustainability and raising awareness across the company.
- Ensure all tasks comply with company policies and take action to reduce potential risks, reporting key information to management as needed.
Requirements:
- NEBOSH General or Equivalent
- Experience in communicating with all management levels
- Implementing change and training for all staff
- Able to present and communicate effectively for the development of the HSE function
