Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Primary Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team in High Peak, providing tailored support to students with challenging behaviours.

This role requires a resilient and adaptable individual who can work effectively with small groups, 1:1 settings, and occasionally off-site. The primary focus will be on supporting primary pupils, but you may also assist secondary students when necessary.

Key responsibilities include delivering tailored support aligned with the primary curriculum, managing challenging behaviours, and providing targeted support to pupils in various settings.

Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting, with strong knowledge of the primary curriculum.
  • Experience working with pupils with challenging behaviours and the ability to implement effective strategies to support them.
  • High resilience, patience, and a commitment to making a positive impact on pupils' learning and well-being.
  • The ability to work effectively with small groups and 1:1 settings, including in off-site locations.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with colleagues and other stakeholders.
