SEN Learning Support Assistant

We are seeking a qualified and experienced SEN Learning Support Assistant to work with a child with special educational needs. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing individualized support to the child, assisting with daily classroom activities, and implementing tailored learning strategies.

About the Role:
  • Provide individualized support to a child with special educational needs.
  • Assist with daily classroom activities and access to the curriculum.
  • Implement and monitor tailored learning strategies.
  • Record progress and provide feedback to the teacher.
  • Promote the child's social, emotional, and academic development.
  • Adapt teaching materials to suit the child's needs.
Requirements:
  • Experience working with children or adults in a caring capacity.
  • Patience, empathy, and a nurturing attitude.
  • Effective behaviour management techniques.
  • Adaptability and flexibility in a dynamic classroom environment.
  • Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
  • Registered or happy to register with the EWC (Education Workforce Council for Wales).
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
