Senior Tax Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Tax Manager to join our team in Derby. As a Senior Tax Manager, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of personal tax clients, preparing and reviewing personal tax returns, and delivering tailored tax planning advice to clients.
About the Role:- Manage a portfolio of personal tax clients, including preparation and review of personal tax returns, partnership tax returns, and trust tax returns.
- Deliver tailored tax planning advice to clients, ensuring quality and compliance at every step.
- Liaise with HMRC to resolve tax queries quickly and effectively on behalf of clients.
- Support business development strategies, attending prospective meetings and quoting for services.
- Oversee junior team members, including workflow management, quality control, and providing training.
- Build trusted client relationships, proactively handling queries and problem-solving.
- Keep up-to-date with tax knowledge, championing knowledge sharing across the team.

- Qualified by experience within UK practice also considered.
- Technically efficient across taxation, including income tax, capital gains tax, and inheritance tax.
- Proven track record of managing a portfolio of personal tax clients.
- Supervisory experience with good people management skills.
- Self-motivated, reliable, and eager to progress.
- Proficient in using relevant tax software, including Microsoft Office.
- A drive to deliver technical knowledge as a point of call for the team.
- Confident in reviewing processes and improving systems to boost efficiency.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Commercial business acumen.
